For the record, Romhacks.net purpose isn't to report about the latest news, nor is it about being the ultimate romhacking-resource. For anyone.

This site, is in fact nothing else (or less, regarding how you look at it) then a compendium of basic knwledge written and presented towards every beginner at romhacking out there. Unlike the various docs that you are likely to find, this website offers a visual presentation with images, descriptions and updated content, as well as functional links to tools used within each section.

Romhacking is more or less a closen circle in my opinion . No matter what point you try to squeeze yourself in at, you will always find loads of information behind you, that you should have dealt with first. Here, I have tried to gather some milestones of the entire circle. With all tutorials gathered at one place, and written by the same author, refrences and links will make it a lot easier to understand the basics then a regular stand-alone doc written in notepad.

Please note that this site is intended for beginners only. We highly recommend that you try out the various docs around the web, as they surely are the most complete source of romhacking knowledge. If you're having trouble finding them, romhacking.net (not related to romhacks.net) is a very good place to start. However, should you have any trouble understanding the basics, Romhacks.net might be a good place to stop by. We don't try to insult your intelligence, but keep in mind that these guides are meant for even the most hopeless of cases.

With that being said, we hope that you as an aspiring romhacker will find this site of some use, and that the information found here at some point will serve as a foundation for you to expand your view when it comes to romhacking in general.
