Faq

For those of you who still are a bit unsure of what this site has to offer having read this page already, here are a few questions and answers.

Is this all there is to know about romhacking?

Hell to the naw.

I'd like to learn about [insert topic here] but it isn't listed on this site...

Not everything can be considered suitable for beginners. But if you have any suggestions regarding new site content, send us a mail and we'll consider if it should be put up or not. But if you're looking for guides telling you how to, for example, insert your own DTE into roms, dream on.

What reason did you have for picking the programs used on this site?

Bottom line is, that the author decided that they were simple enough to use for a complete newbie. Previous experience and some nostalgia also played its part when it came to choosing software.

The programs listed on this site are in no way the "ultimate" choice in romhacking. Feel free too suggest other programs if you come across any.

Note that suggestions only may concern freeware and public domain. We won't put up anything that isn't free (not to mention ad-free) and certanly not if the author of the program wishes otherwise.

Where's the forum?

A couple of boards already exists on the web (check the links page). It was thought that splitting the messageboard-scene (or whatever) any further was completely unnecessary. But if you'd really like one, mail us and complain about it. If we get enough complaints, we might just put one up for the sake of it.

The info in your tutorial is dead wrong about [insert subject here]!

If you want it to change, then mail us and write just what the problem is. If you have any corrections on your own, you're welcome to share them as well.

What's up with the ads?

While we don't expect to lean back while to millions start rolling in, it would be nice if we could at least cover hosting for another year. And no, the owner of this domain is not dependent on the revenues in order to put food on his table.

How can I find the roms used on this site?

By searching for them yourself. Use google, or whatever. Don't mail your rom requests.

I already know everything written about on this site...

So did the author. Life sure is funny that way, isn't it?
